Blender is a freeware and open source 3D image editor which works with modeling, image animation and rendering of 3D graphics formats inside of a clean, customizable interface.
With this very well-done editor, users have access to a wide range of powerful editing tools for creating objects, sculpting and painting objects with various types of textures. This program is highly capable of creating complex 3D scenes. In the game mode, graphics publishers and game creators are given access to useful tools.

One of the drawbacks of using this tool is the fact that it is highly advanced and may take a while to learn the ins and outs. Despite being an advanced application designed for professionals, Blender unfortunately lacks the best in terms of user documentation. The bright side of this is that there are literally tons of tutorials available through the Blender community and from there, you can quickly learn how to create excellent models.

I discovered two annoying audio problems (and possibly a solution): 1) I was using what the camera calls '24' frames per second, but inspecting the MOV file in VLC Player showed it is actually 23.98 frames. Lightworks is very focused on just the editing workflow. It's full of functionality that eases the workflow. For example, media manager can be used to storyboard, 'mark and park' can be used in timelines, cut points can be adjusted in 3 ways (end point of a clip without adjusting the start point of a clip that comes before it, start point of a clip without adjusting the endpoint of a clip that. Blender video editor is quite outdated and does not take advantage of the hardware. Limited multithreading and hardly any use of the GPUs capabilities. Blender is wonderful for 3D content creation, but the Video Editing side of the program is not robust at all, and has not grown to the meet the needs of today's users. In order to use Blender video editor, you need to change the default workspace to 'Video Editing' manually.
